Professional Qualifications and Expertise

Our principal solicitor, Tayo Arowojolu, holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Lagos, a Barrister-at-Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law from University College London (UCL). Tayo was called to the English Bar in 1993 and admitted as a solicitor in 1998. With over 32 years of combined legal experience in both the UK and Nigeria, he is a certified EU GDPR Practitioner and a specialist in corporate governance, GDPR compliance, and immigration law.
 

Ayo Olagunju, our associate solicitor, brings extensive experience in immigration and civil matters, particularly in navigating complex immigration requirements and tailoring applications to client needs. As a dedicated associate with strong advocacy skills, Ayo has represented clients in various aspects of UK immigration, from family and residency applications to visitor visas and indefinite leave to remain cases. His experience in UK law is complemented by a commitment to ongoing professional development and close client collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Our immigration services include:

  • Initial Consultation: Discussion of your circumstances, advice on the most suitable application, and exploration of any additional options.

  • Eligibility Assessment: Advice on Immigration Rules requirements, eligibility criteria, and possible solutions for any unmet criteria (approx. 2 hours).

  • Evidence Review and Collection: Reviewing all supporting documents (2-3 hours) and assisting in obtaining further evidence if necessary.

  • Application Preparation: Preparation and submission of the application on your behalf (approx. 2 hours).

  • Interview Preparation: If an interview is required, we provide advice on interview protocols and, if requested, may attend with you (2-3 hours).

  • Outcome Advice: Guidance on application results and any next steps.

  • Note: Required hours may vary based on documentation volume, translation needs, and any missing documentation.

Estimated Timeframe

  • While we aim to submit applications within 4 weeks of instruction, times may vary. Please also note that Home Office processing times vary; current processing times are available on their website.

  • All estimates are based on standard applications; we provide precise estimates following a thorough review of your case.

Fees and Estimated Costs

  • Hourly Rate: £300.00 per hour (plus VAT).

  • Fixed Fees: Most applications are quoted on a fixed fee basis to provide clarity and predictability.

On average, these applications require 6-7 hours to complete, resulting in total costs of £2,000 - £2,500 (including VAT). However, exact costs vary based on individual case circumstances:

  • Lower Range Costs (£1,500 - £2,000): Cases with complete documentation and clear eligibility for the immigration rules.

  • Higher Range Costs: Cases requiring extensive supporting evidence, additional dependents, or translation services.
     

  • Disbursements (Not Included in Above Fees)

  • Disbursements are third-party costs paid on your behalf for smoother processing:

  • Interpreters’ Fees: Estimated for 3-4 hours of interpretation services, depending on case complexity.

  • Independent Expert Reports: e.g., medical reports, if needed.

  • Travel Expenses: For in-person interview attendance, including mileage and travel.
     

  • Additional Costs

  • The quoted costs do not cover:

  • Home Office Fees: Paid directly to the Home Office as part of the application.

  • Appeal Support: Assistance in the event of an application refusal.
